Well, let me tell you a little about Justin and his brand, Dansby.
All Dansby garments are independently designed and sewn by owner, artist, and Santa Barbara native Justin Schmandt in Ventura, California.
Dansby is a sustainable clothing brand born from Justin’s years working in the service industry, where functionality, comfort, and personal style had to coexist.
The brand focuses on creating unique silhouettes inspired by timeless classics—pieces designed to feel good on all body types and move with your everyday life. Every garment is made to be worn again and again, with an emphasis on quality, comfort, and durability.

That is what I am talking about. He takes pride in and values the importance of premium built goods made to be lived in. His attention to detail is unlike any other I have seen. His work is uncanny.
Justin and I met at a local Ventura Brand expo downtown. Him and I were placed next to each other and we both admired each others work and got to talking. We have spoken of this collaboration for almost two years. The time was never right until now. I held onto a swatch of this Indigo striped Jacquard denim from when I was looking for fabrics for the Pioneer Coat. I knew I would go back to it for the perfect project. We both agreed this was it. We hope you guys dig this shirt as much as we enjoyed making them.
